AvaLuna Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ahmet Emin Yada (“AvaLuna,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards data when you interact with the AvaLuna mobile application, website, or waitlist (collectively, the “App”). By using the App you consent to the practices described below. If you disagree with this Policy, please refrain from using the Services and delete your account.

1. Introduction

AvaLuna blends astrology, tarot, and wellness tools. This Policy describes the data we collect, the controls you can exercise, and how to contact us. Certain in-app features may present additional privacy notices; those notices supplement this Policy.

2. Information we collect

  1. Profile data: name, email, birth date/time/location, pronouns, gender, interests, preferences, and saved notes that you choose to provide.
  2. Usage data: feature interactions (e.g., tarot spreads completed, compatibility profiles generated), session analytics, crash logs, and device identifiers such as IDFA/IDFV if you opt in.
  3. Purchase data: subscription status, product identifiers, and transaction receipts supplied by the Apple App Store (“Store”). We do not receive your full payment card number.
  4. Optional inputs: tarot questions or compatibility descriptions you type. These remain stored locally or in secure cloud storage tied to your account.

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with:

  1. Service providers: RevenueCat (subscriptions), analytics vendors, and cloud hosting partners who process information on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
  2. Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ahmet Emin Yada (AvaLuna) and its community.
  3. Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred with appropriate notice.

5. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as you maintain an account or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your profile or request deletion, we remove or anonymize information except where retention is required for legal, tax, or legitimate business purposes (e.g., subscription records). Backup systems may take up to 30 days to purge.

6. Security

AvaLuna uses industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, secure storage for profile data, access controls, and security reviews for third-party services. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection; please keep your device and credentials safe and notify us of suspected incidents.

7. Your rights and choices

  1. Access & update: Review or modify profile data via in-app settings or by contacting support.
  2. Deletion: Request deletion through the App or email privacy@avaluna.app. Certain records may remain in backups or be retained where legally required.
  3. Notifications: Manage push notifications in the App or your device settings; opt out of marketing emails via unsubscribe links.
  4. Analytics & tracking: AvaLuna uses privacy-friendly analytics. If optional tracking is introduced, you will receive platform prompts (e.g., Apple ATT) and can decline.

8. Children’s privacy

AvaLuna is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child provided data should contact us.

9. International transfers

Data is primarily processed in the United States. If you access the App from another region, you consent to transferring information to the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws. We rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

10. Third-party links

The App may reference third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content. Review those policies before sharing personal information with third parties.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Changes will be posted within the App and reflected by the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated via email or in-app notifications. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the revised Policy.
